The Swinging Sixties were a wild time in fashion, yet tradition was still a classy affair for weddings. Brides continued to wear short dresses started in the 1950s or opted for long column like dresses in lace, silk or taffeta.

For bridesmaids, wearing a colorful dress was the trend. Pastel pink, blue and yellow were in style in the early 1960s with earth tone and jewel tone colors being preferred in the later 1960s.
Closer to the 1970s, floral prints were the “in thing” to for dressing bridesmaids. All of these styles of dresses made them perfect for a 1960s wedding.
